Dr. Kowshik has joined Medi Family Polyclinic as a Consultant. His pediatric career spans almost 18 years and includes experience in UK and Middle East. In UK he has been a Consultant in prestigious institutions before immigrating to UAE where he has worked in reputable Centers like Al Zahra and Sheikh Khalifa Hospital as Consultant and also as Chief of Department. He has also been an Asst. Professor in the Gulf Medical University. His professional qualifications include a Fellowship (FRCPCH) and Membership (MRCPCH) from the Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health in London, CCT in Pediatrics and Neonates with special interest in Endocrinology and Diabetes. He completed his training as Specialist Registrar in Pediatrics and Endocrinology in UK while working in prestigious and very reputed institutions in UK. During his career, he has developed a major interest in medical education at both undergraduate & postgraduate levels teaching medical students from the Universities of Bristol, Cardiff and London. He is an Honorary Lecturer at Bristol University and was a RCPCH College tutor. He has had numerous publications and has been involved as the Principal investigator in research studies in the UK.

While working as a Consultant in Taunton, Somerset, UK, he headed the Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolic Medicine services, providing care to more than 200 Diabetes and150 Endocrine patients. He was also instrumental in setting up an Insulin Pump service for the Diabetes patients in his center. Prior to that he worked as a Consultant in John Radcliffe University Hospital Oxford. His Pediatric and subspecialty experience is from working in various reputed tertiary canters in UK like Birmingham Children’s Hospital, Leeds University Hospital and University Hospital of Wales Cardiff. He is also an Honorary Lecturer at the reputed Bristol University.
